|My Two Cents…,
Reads like an over nighter essay, written by someone who drank a little too much espresso… just kidding.
But seriously, this is a very short book on espresso. For the price, I was expecting something a little more professional. I don’t want to harp on grammar issues, but I really get the impression that this is more a collection of essays in various stages of editing than anything else. Also, the formatting is pretty odd in that headings do not stand out all that well… in fact, often times they are litterally tagged onto the end of the last paragraph. The only distinguishing part of the heading is that it is sometimes all capital letters.
Content wise, has enhanced my enjoyment of espresso. This book has really helped me understand a lot of the subtle nuances of making espresso drinks that otherwise I would still be totally ignorant of.
Unfortunately, parts of this book feel very repetitive. As stated above, it feels like a series of essays about espresso and as such, the author repeats herself frequently.
Overall, I don’t know about the value of this book. If it was cheaper, I would give it a thumbs up… but for nearly $7 for an e-book, I think I’d rather keep looking. I do feel better educated and inspired, but am having a hard time looking past some pretty blatant editing errors… like wondering if the author bothered to edit it.
